About Me

Hello!

My name is Caroline Ford, and I’m a food stylist, writer, recipe tester, and developer living in Portland, Oregon. This site is an album for my work as a food stylist and a place to celebrate adventures and stories in food, travel, cooking, and eating.

I grew up an Oklahoma girl and moved to Portland for culinary school after graduating with a Strategic Communication degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.  After culinary school, I worked in the test kitchen at Cooking Light magazine- testing and editing recipes and styling for photo shoots- in Birmingham, Alabama.  A fabulous job, but I had fallen in love with Portland and returned to make it my home. I have worked as a cook and baker in various restaurants, and passionately do both in my own kitchen. I’m an avid cookbook collector and devour every food publication that crosses my path.

I am available for freelance food styling, recipe testing/development, and writing.
